Educational principles
In today's world, we are surrounded by multiple media sources generating vast amounts of information. Additionally, we all have quick and easy access to it. For this reason, in the educational field, it is essential to teach students and the entire community how to use this information appropriately. It is not enough to know how to find it; it is also necessary to learn to select, analyse, verify its accuracy, and respect copyright laws.
At Zürich Schule Barcelona, we take this commitment seriously. Therefore, we present our Academic Integrity Policy.
This document aims to ensure that all members of the educational community are aware of the rules that promote honesty, especially in the academic context. Acting ethically is a fundamental part of our approach, as it reflects the values of our school and the IB model, where integrity holds a central place. This is demonstrated through fairness, respect, and responsibility for our decisions and their consequences.
The Academic Integrity Policy has been developed by a committee composed of the management team, the person in charge of the library, and the IB coordinators (PYP and MYP). This committee also incorporates input from the teaching staff and is responsible for evaluating potential breaches of the policy
Center values
At Zürich Schule, we understand academic integrity as a set of fundamental values and skills. These values foster honesty in learning, teaching, and assessment. Acting with integrity is essential in all our educational programmes. Our academic integrity policy ensures that students' work is original. It also promotes respect for one's own ideas and those of others, helping to prevent unacceptable conduct within the school. We believe it is crucial to motivate students and the entire educational community to create authentic content and share their ideas respectfully. In this way, we promote an environment where everyone can learn and develop together.

Information about the school-family relationship
Establishing the frameworks and moments for family participation in the school is an essential task. The school should be seen as an educational community, a socialising place where communication and emotional bonds are formed, benefiting the growth of both children and adults. Teachers must ensure the creation and reinforcement of these connections, in collaboration with families.

Attention to Diversity at School ZÜRICH SCHULE BARCELONA Internacional School
Information about the curricular adaptation of the School ZÜRICH SCHULE BARCELONA Internacional School
At Zürich Schule, we believe in clearly explaining key concepts, as individuals may understand them differently based on their backgrounds. Clarifying these concepts allows us to act coherently and build a more inclusive school. By sharing the meaning of words, we grow as a community, enhancing our teaching quality and ensuring everyone feels included.
Historically, "diversity" in education referred only to students with disabilities or learning challenges. This view has evolved. The International Baccalaureate (IB) offers a broader idea: diversity encompasses differences among students, including abilities, challenges, age, language, culture, or social situations (IB, 2019, p. 3). At Zürich Schule, we embrace this vision. We also align with the Generalitat de Catalunya's definition (2015), which states diversity is inherent to all people and vital for a quality school.
Mel Ainscow (2005) links diversity and inclusion, describing inclusion as a process adapting to all students while respecting their differences. The IB defines inclusion as facilitating access and participation for all, removing barriers that hinder it (IB, 2019, p. 2).
